Dudes of Future/Past

Never has a podcast had more fun analyzing the likes and differences of Millennials and Generation X. Comedians Kurt Long and Joey Bragg build bridges between generations using laughter, wit, understanding and nonsense. Joey's youthful exuberance, humor and determination are a great contrast to the more experienced Kurt's cautious skepticism and sarcasm. Together they dissect topics of the day from the perspectives of two entertainment industry professionals separated by 20+ years while providing plenty of laughs and insight. Neither claim to be experts or take themselves too seriously, so their conversations are always hilarious, cutting, and unique.

"One down, two to go" says Hillary Clinton about the presidential debates. And it's said with such a confidence that if you didn't see the debates, you'd assume she won. And to many, she did. But what do the Dudes think? Are millennials confident in Hillary's future? Are the Gen Xer's being catered to in this in the election? Listen in and hear what the fellas feel like after hearing the two major party candidates go at it for the first time? Should other candidates be involved? We talk about it, (probably for too long).

We also recap our first Los Angeles Podcast Festival as a podcast couple. We learned a bunch and hopefully it'll show in an upward swing of quality in our future casts. But for now, enjoy our mediocrity.

Comedian, humanitarian, America's Hair Dad, Jimmy Pardo joins the Dudes for a discussion ranging from podcasting, Stand-up Comedy inspiration, Kids, Stress, Hollywood's lack of imagination and so much more. Largely considered the pioneer of podcasting with his trailblazing show Never Not Funny, Jimmy Pardo has cultivated quite a following all over the comedy world. And it is indeed our pleasure to sit down with him and pick his brain. Gen X & Millennials agree that JP is a comedy God and you'll see why once you listen. Enjoy!

When Nirvana released it's now history making album, Nevermind on Sept 24, 1991, one of your hosts was 18 years old. He was fresh out of high school, entering the unknown world of the big city of Boston and college life in general. Your other host was 5 years from being born. We talk about the album and what made it so important, where music was at when it arrived and where it is now.

With all the feelings that 'Nevermind' evoked, one of them was definitely one of anti-establishmentism. And that's also what we discuss on this episode. Joey's recent disillusionment with an entertainer sparks a discussion on activism, complacency and the areas in between. And we discuss whether or not "plane crash" is the preferred method of dying if you had a choice. It's a weird one. But great. You know? Enjoy

9/11 and the Iphone7. We didn't intend the rhyming scheme but still, both topics are covered in this episode (ironically numbered 11). Looking back on the last attack on American soil that we were both alive for was sobering. Joey was 5 at the time, Kurt was 28. Listen in and hear how their lives have been changed from the experience.

Plus, we see how the announcement of the latest Iphone iteration affects the different generations. Who's excited? Who couldn't be bothered? Well, you could probably guess...

Enjoy and Never Forget

Reunited and it sounds so GOOD! Joey arrives back in the Coop after almost two weeks. What has kept him away for so long? Oh, just a network Guest Star job and hosting a live event in NY, The U.S. Open Arthur Ashe Kids Day! Kurt, well, he did stuff too.... The boys also discuss current events, like the death of Gene Wilder, Colin Kaepernick's protest and the despicable Chris Brown. We also answer Twitter questions and Kurt goes deep on awkward work experiences. Enjoy!
